Coaches Course Level 1 successfully completed in Baku

The Regional Volleyball Development Centre run by the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation (AVF) delivered this past July 3-7 a FIVB Coaches Course Level I, doing so in close cooperation with the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Azerbaijan and Olympic Solidarity.

The start of the course was preceded by an opening ceremony attended by Course Instructor Cengiz Akarcesme, as well as by the Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, Faig Garayev, the AVF Secretary General Faig Orujov, the representative of the NOC of Azerbaijan and Project Manager Jeyhun Rahmanov, as well as by the head of the Baku Regional Volleyball Development Centre, Mrs Nargiz Ismayilova. All of them wished much success to the 32 participants, including four foreigners.

The programme of the course featured both theoretical and practical classes. As many as 17 participants successfully passed their final exams, whereas another 12 received certificates of attendance from Olympic Solidarity.

The subsequent closing ceremony was attended by media and TV stations. The Vice-President of the NOC of Azerbaijan, Mr Cengiz Huseynzadeh congratulated the participants and thanked Mr Akarcesme for his support and efforts. AVF Vice-Presidents Bahruz Guliyev and Faig Garayev, as well as Secretary General Faig Orujov and Mr Rahmanov attended the closing ceremony as well. They underlined the importance of holding such courses at this stage as the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation is experiencing changes and developments and expressed their confidence that the good cooperation can continue in future too.
